Single-family rental developer-operator Placefirst has launched plans for expansion into the East Midlands with the acquisition of a 34-home scheme from Jelson Homes.
The £8m forward-funded deal, comprising a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses within the new Priors Hall Park development in Corby, Northamptonshire, will see Placefirst letting, operating and maintaining the properties once completed by Jelson later this year.
The addition of professionally managed rental homes, once fully handed over to Placefirst in December 2024, will strengthen Corby’s response to the nationwide rental crisis.
Complete with two parking spaces per home and ample green space, the homes are designed to provide residents with secure and sustainable housing in line with Placefirst’s commitment to developing high-quality rental homes with strong sustainability credentials.
With excellent access to Corby town centre, and just a short cycle to Corby train station, residents at Priors Hall Park are set to reap the social and economic benefits from being situated in a well-connected neighbourhood.
David Mawson, CEO of Placefirst, said: “The importance of providing rental options for local people cannot be overstated, likewise the expertise of local housebuilders like Jelson Homes, which create homes that meet the needs of each individual community.
“As our first presence in the East Midlands, this partnership with Jelson Homes is an exciting milestone for Placefirst as we press forward with our expansion in the region”
“Close collaboration will continue to be a key part of our expansion plans, and we look forward to exploring further partnership opportunities with those who share our commitment to create sustainable housing solutions that genuinely enhance local communities.”
James Jelley of Jelson Homes, said: Priors Hall Park is a vibrant development with great facilities for the residents and we are proud to help Placefirst expand into the East Midlands region.“
With a national portfolio of neighbourhoods comprising 1,500 homes, Placefirst is on a mission to deliver high-quality, sustainable and family-friendly homes that address the chronic lack of housing across the UK.
